Lovehard

Lovehard is an all-American romantic comedy. It was filmed by Hernan Jimenez and written by Rebecca Ewing and Danny Mackey. Netflix categorized it as a charming, feel-good film. It stars Nina Dobrev, Jimmy O. Yang, and Darren Barnet. The plot involves a young girl named Natalie Bauer (Nina Dobrev) who meets her match on an online dating app. She visits her lover’s hometown for the holidays only to discover that she’s been catfished. This film was released on the platform on November 5, 2021.

The Harder They Fall

The Harder They Fall is a western film directed and written by Jeymes Samuel with the help of Boaz Yakin. You can say it is a remake of the 1956 boxing film similarly titled,The Harder They Fall. It was categorized by Netflix as proactive and witty. The film stars Johnathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, and many more. The characters are based on real cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws from the 19th century. Although the plot is fictional, it involves Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) gathering about his former cowboy gang. In efforts to seek revenge against Rufus Buck (Idris Elba), a ruthless crime boss that murdered his parents.

Te Ata

Te Ata is based on the true story of Mary Thompson Fisher. Fisher was a woman who navigated cultural barriers to become one of the greatest Native American performers of all time. Despite all the discrimination aimed her way, this Chickasaw woman managed to land a promising stage career that results in a performance at the White House. Netflix classified Te Ata as a heartfelt, inspiring, and feel-good movie. It is directed by Nathan Frankowski. Te Ata was written by Ester Luttrell and Jeannie Barbour. It stars Q’orianka Kilcher, Gil Birmingham, Brigid Brannagh, and many more. 

The Forgiven

The Forgiven is a British drama film directed by Roland Joffe. He wrote the script along with the help of Michael Ashton. The format of the film is somewhat like the basics of the play The Archbishop and the Antichrist.  It stars Forest Whitaker, Eric Bana, Jeff Gum, and many more. The plot takes place after the end of the apartheid in South Africa as Archbishop Desmond Tutu (Forest Whitaker) must work with a brutal killer that seeks redemption in order to solve the murder of a young girl. The movie is categorized as understated.

The Claus Family

The Claus Family is a Dutch-Belgian film. It was directed by Matthias Temmermans and written with the help of Ruben Vandenborre. It stars Jan Decleir, Mo Makker, Stefaan Degand and many more. The plot involves Jules Claus (Mo Makker), grandfather, being terribly ill. Jules realizes this and puts his holiday-hating attitude to the side to save his family’s legacy. He is the only hope to save Christmas. He even discovers a big secret that changes his attitude about Christmas entirely. This movie is great for spending good quality family time. Netflix categorized this as a feel-good, heartwarming film. It is also perfect for the holidays.

Red Notice

Red Notice is an all-American comedy film about an issued Interpol, which is the highest-level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted criminals. FBI agent John Hartley (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) partners up with the world’s greatest art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds)  in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, who goes by the name of “the bishop”. Their plans are to catch her in the act–but this is not as easy as they thought. It appears that she is always ten steps ahead. The Netflix film described as exciting and irreverent is directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber.
