Godzilla vs. Kong is an amazing monster thriller that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The suspense of watching the two titans fight head to head is breathtaking.
Godzilla vs. Kong is the sequel to Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. These two monsters are the good guys they have always been so it’s hard to see them scuffling. However, the underlying fact is that Godzilla and Kong have an ancient rivalry. Who wins this fight is something you’re going to have to watch and see.
The movie is directed by Adam Wingard. It was written by Terry Rossio, Michael Dougherty, Zach Shields, Eric Pearson, and Max Borenstein. It screenplays for one hour and fifty three minutes, so if you don’t like long movies you’re in luck, this movie gets straight to the point.
Godzilla attacked a company subdivision called Apex, which was located in Pensacola, Florida. This behavior is strange for Godzilla considering he doesn’t bother most without a good reason. Madison Russell, who is played by Millie Bobby Brown knows this. So she teams up with her friend Josh Valentine, (Jullian Dennison) and conspiracy theorist Bernie Hayes, (Brian Tyree Henry) to further investigate Apex.
Meanwhile Kong and his friends or protectors focus on finding Kong’s true home. Which is believed to be a place called Hollow Earth. Kong’s current holding facility is no longer suitable and two Apex Titans can’t live on Earth’s surface. Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall) and Jia (Kaylee Hottle) truly care about Kong’s well being perhaps more than the others and try to do what’s best for him.. This mission was not an easy one, the group did not anticipate stumbling upon Godzilla’s path leading to what seems like a never ending battle.
Apex is run by Walter Simmons (Demián Bichir), who has a master plan to save the world from the threat of Titans. He sees them as the enemy and wishes to put humans back on top again. Simmons’ plan soon backfires however and leaves the city in shambles.
There is a plot twist so don’t believe this movie is predictable because it will leave you second guessing everything you think you know. Godzilla vs. Kong is out now in cinemas and on HBO Max.. According to Variety, Godzilla vs. Kong has grossed $93 million in the US and Canada.
Personally, I would recommend this movie, you wont regret the money spent in theaters or the time watching it on HBO. If I had to rate this movie I would say it’s an 8 out of 10. I still believe the ending could have been better. I was left unsatisfied for some odd reason. Perhaps, if there were more fireworks and rainbows I’ll be happy but this is not your typical happy ending.
