Mr. Warren, your dedication shows beyond just the numbers. It shows in the energy, creativity, agency, and care you pour into every detail. Congratulations on being named York College’s April 2025 Employee of the Month. We see you, and we celebrate you.
If you’ve ever been on a school tour at York, chances are Mr. Warren Rolling had something to do with it.
For over a decade, Rolling has been a steady and trusted influence in student outreach at York College. As the CUNY Explorers Specialist and Coordinator, he’s helped welcome thousands of students and families onto campus to see the school, and to really feel it. This semester alone, he’s brought over 13,000 students and guests through York’s doors, with 18,000 expected by the end. More than 5,000 of them have had hands-on experiences with programs like robotics, nursing, aviation, music production, and radio broadcasting, all made possible through his coordination.
He leads a team of over 20 college assistants, manages school partnerships across the five boroughs, and organizes every visit with care and devotion. From kindergarteners just beginning to imagine what learning can look like, to high school seniors ready to take that next step, Mr. Warren creates an environment that people can connect to. He’s even spoken at high school graduations and college decision day events, showing up with the same presence and commitment he brings to his work on campus.
And when is it time to boost school spirit? Mr. Warren’s been known to suit up as the York Cardinal mascot, showing up with joy, humor, and heart to keep students of all ages engaged and smiling.
“He truly does everything to make this college better as a whole,” said one of his team members. “He doesn’t just lead. He inspires.”
“He’s one of those people who’s always going above and beyond,” shared another colleague. “You can feel how much he cares in everything he does.”
