York College men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the Medgar Evers College Legacy Invitational event on Sunday, October 20th according to the York Athletics website.
Our men’s team had a stand out performance, with two athletes in the top ten, and four in the top 25.
At the head of the York pack was Richard Reyes, who came in sixth overall in the 8K with a time of 32:46.3. Close behind him was Michael Zhang in seventh with a time of 32:51.4. Stephen Ulysse crossed the finish line at 11th, with a career best time of 36:12.9, and Chris Merilan became our fourth top-25 time, and came in 24th with a time of 41:23.7.
Nemuel Bobb (30th, 47:22.8), Duane Foskey (32nd, 54:58.4), Wood-by Paulemont (34th, 57:23.6) and Sasha Spruil (36th, 01:26:14.2) round out our Men’s lineup.
York College finished 2nd overall with a score of 78 points, just under CCNY who won the team title with 67 points.
On the women’s side, Keanna Clouden finished the 6K course with a time of 33:53.1, and came in 17th against a field of 26, and Tamicia Sylvester finished with a 43:59.2, coming in at 23rd place.
